Our story

Founded in Calgary, focused on depth

DepthMind Research Inc. was founded in 2019 in Calgary, Alberta, by a group of machine-learning researchers who wanted to move beyond demos and ship deep-learning systems that survive contact with the real world.

We are deliberately based in Calgary and rooted in Alberta's energy, logistics and health sectors. Our teams stay small and senior — every project is led by experienced researchers who remain accountable from the first feasibility study through to deployment and monitoring. We design for Canadian data-residency expectations and the realities of regulated industries.
